As the curtain is about to fall
In the last of our “teen” years
Let’s come out of the divisions
And to humanity, let’s lend our ears.
Can we be a little more matured now
And not dance to the Satanic tunes
Let’s not revise ourselves to divides
Build up a bondage not to be lost in dunes.
Extreme opinions can pull us all apart
We become fragmented and much too narrow
Divisions make us much too tiny
In quarrels do we engage, quitened is life’s sparrow.
Now as we usher into yet another decade
Of the millennium which we all talk about
Let’s celebrate the occasion standing united
And against all divisiveness , let’s give a big shout.
